Position Summary:
Coordinate telecommunication services for all City facilities to include upcoming City facility projects; communicate with various venders to ensure service and invoice resolution issues; charge, process and reconcile telecommunication billings for all departments and provide administrative support; perform a variety of administrative tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements:
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours of vocational or college-level coursework in business administration, or electrical technology; and
Four (4) years of experience in telecommunication billing and services.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.
Preferred Knowledge:
Operations, services and activities of a telecommunication network program
Principals and practices of telecommunications and network protocol
Principles and procedures of financial record keeping and reporting
Operations, services and activities of a customer service program
Modern office practices, procedures and equipment including a computer
Basic functions of budget preparation assistance
Principles of purchasing
Pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulation
