Overview: 
Encantado Technical Solutions (ETS) is an unpopulated Small Business Administration-approved mentor-protégé joint venture between Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. and ECS Federal, LLC. ETS is bolstered by second-tier subcontractors Information International Associates (IIA) and Amentum. ETS provides comprehensive enterprise and mission-embedded IT support for the $400 - $700 million Third-Party Telecommunications and Information Technology Support Services contract at Sandia National Laboratories. ETS is currently recruiting for a variety of cleared and uncleared IT positions with on-site and remote opportunities in New Mexico and California. As ETS is unpopulated, employees will work for one of the four companies listed above.

As part of the Mission Computing Services (MCS) team, the candidate shall provide IT support to Group 9322-Server Team. For all work areas requested, individuals are required to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance. All resources shall perform work requests for tasks assigned by the service manager, team manager/lead or team coordinator, within the work areas requested. 

Mission Computing Services (MCS) provides IT resources to mission organizations at the Laboratories, one being the Windows System Administrator. The candidate shall provide Windows Server System Administrator support and assist customers with server needs, including architecture design and consultations, building, configuring maintaining and troubleshooting physical and virtual servers.  The team maintains user environments, delivers subject matter expert support, and end-user application support.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installations and patching of Windows Server operating systems
  • Monitor systems and preform troubleshooting, tracking, resolution, and routine maintenance and security updates
  • Install software and troubleshoot software install issues
  • Perform system backups and provide data recovery
  • To accomplish this, you will need an extensive background with Windows Server administration and issue resolution along with knowledge and understanding of IT best practices and operations

Qualifications:
Skills Required:
  • Proven track record of problem solving using strong critical thinking, analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
  • Minimum four years’ experience with Windows Server in a physical and virtual environment
  • Minimum four years’ experience with Windows Server administration (upgrades, patching, and configuration to meet security requirements)
  • Minimum four years’ experience resolving Windows Server issues (setup, account management, file service, network configuration, license management, application hosting and end-user application support)
  • Experience working with application vendors to understand, implement and maintain apps in a Windows environment
  • Strong verbal and written customer service and communications skills
  • Knowledge of, and desire to follow IT Operations best practices and procedures such as issue management and incident response
  • Familiar with information security best practices
  • Experience with the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
  • Bachelor's degree, in lieu of a Bachelor's degree you must have six years reltated exprience, or AA plus three years related experience

  • Citrix and VMWare familiarity

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience writing documentation for internal processes and customer facing products and services
