Job Brief:

Westwind, a value added reseller to the federal government, is seeking someone with IT industry and previous team supervisory experience to support and assist the AVP of Sales. Will be the right hand person in leading a team of sales support and sales people.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales and program management team.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales plans; projecting expected sales volume and profit margin for existing and any new contracts, projects, and/or individual products.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer/contract base and ensure its strong presence.
  • Completes sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Enhances staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field (master’s preferred)
  • Successful previous experience as an IT sales representative or IT sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
