Encantado Technical Solutions (ETS) is an unpopulated Small Business Administration-approved mentor-protégé joint venture between Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. and ECS Federal, LLC. ETS is bolstered by second-tier subcontractors Information International Associates (IIA) and Amentum. ETS provides comprehensive enterprise and mission-embedded IT support for the $400 – $700 million Third-Party Telecommunications and Information Technology Support Services contract at Sandia National Laboratories. ETS is currently recruiting for a variety of cleared and uncleared IT positions with on-site and remote opportunities in New Mexico and California. As ETS is unpopulated, employees will work for one of the four companies listed above.

Statement of Work:
This client’s organization provides IT infrastructure service on modern telecommunications systems for data, telephone, wireless LAN, RF Microwave, and encryption capabilities to Sandia with emphasis on securing and protecting Sandia’s information standardization.

Encantado Technical Solutions is currently seeking a Field Telecom Tech II to support an IT program for the Department of Energy at Sandia National Laboratories.

  • Respond to customer complaints, demonstrate the use of new equipment, and file maintenance reports. 
  • Provide professional customer service and must be able to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Work closely with telephone engineers, field techs, customer service representatives, and end users for projects and day-to-day task while providing constant communication to your team and customer. 
  • Support other telephone service areas including but not limited to voicemail, system administration, VoIP endpoint support, and call center applications.
  • Use defined procedures to operate and troubleshoot VoIP service on the Avaya switch to include all remote Avaya nodes, and all associated equipment
  • Install and administer frame patches and disconnects at the phone switch.
  • Coordinate with Network Advanced Field Operations team as needed to support activation of device ports.

  • Knowledge of installation, integration, commissioning, and call testing of telephone equipment.
  • Understanding of telecommunication products and services: Inside wiring/cable, Fiber Optic transmission, color codes, inventory systems, cable locating, switch maintenance, voicemail, special circuits, fiber terminals, T-1’s, ISPs, DSL, and data testing and certifying loops to support data, voice, and/or video.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 4 year's experience
  • AA degree
  • US Citizenship


  • Experience working with TDM/IP telephone installs and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with CAIRS ticketing system
  • Active DOE clearance
