Job Description

The IT Applications Team is seeking candidates to fill a Programmer Analyst 2 position. The position will be responsible for the development of integrations for our administrative applications and implementation of Commercial Off-the-Shelf Products. This position is also responsible for escalated support of key administrative applications, including Banner. The successful completion of this work includes working with administrative offices, students, and faculty to resolve issues, analyze requirements, implement solutions according to specifications, build and deploy enhancements, monitor the health of the applications as they move into production, and respond to and resolve incidents as they occur. We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys technical challenges, learns quickly, is a team player, and possesses strong written, organizational, and customer service skills. Must be customer-focused, have the ability to work on multiple projects at once, and have proven experience in supporting applications and business processes. The ideal candidate will have experience performing application development and support activities in multiple environments and technologies. Our current ERP is built in an Oracle and PL/SQL environment. Our development environment includes PL/SQL, SQL, Java, PHP, Angular JS, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Oracle database, and both UNIX and Windows platform.

* Strong communication, team, customer relations, and organizational skills

* Experience learning, organizing and communicating complicated systems

* Experience working closely with customers to understand their needs and translating those needs into technical solutions

* Experience leveraging knowledge of IT infrastructure and security to improve application delivery and performance

* Experience solving problems with creative solutions

* Experience with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, packages, triggers and views

* Experience with core internet technologies, including Java, PHP, Angular JS, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript

* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast, paced structured environment

* Experience working with vendors to resolve issues and gather system requirements

* Experience using tools to monitor applications and related storage

* Demonstrated ability to document applications in a timely manner and contribute to knowledge bases

* Experience working in teams of varying sizes; successful moving between small and large teams

* Familiarity with Agile methodology a plus

* Ability to self-manage time when assigned multiple incidents/SRs

* Be able to listen to feedback and adjust plans accordingly.

* Adaptable and flexible with change
